A commitment to education underpins all of Creative Scotland’s objectives. Creativity permeates Scottish education policy through the Curriculum for Excellence and has a particularly strong emphasis in the expressive arts. We will continue to work with partners to deliver the Government’s Education and the Arts, Culture and Creativity Action Plan.

On these pages you will find information on forthcoming and current activity as well as details of external websites containing useful teaching resources.

The Creativity Portal

The Creativity Portal has been developed as a partnership between Education Scotland and Creative Scotland in order to create a collaborative environment that aims to encourage educators to place creativity at the heart of their practice. It's a space for information, inspiration and collaboration and encourages partnerships between educators and culture practitioners in order to enrich young people’s learning experiences.

If you are an artist, arts organisation or creative practitioner you can join the Creativity Portal by using our Creativity Measuring Tool.
