About the Programme

Capital funding supports organisations to improve, refurbish and/or develop cultural facilities which offer enhanced access to, or the presentation and enjoyment of, the arts and film. The programme also provides funding for the renewal and refreshment of equipment.

There are two routes for supporting capital projects:

1. Large Capital

Who can apply

The Large Capital fund is open to Organisations.

Funding Available

In 2013/14 the total budget available is £15million in National Lottery funding. Individual awards will be in the range of £100,000 - £2,000,000.

Intention to apply:  Friday 3 May 2013

Deadline: Stage 1: 5pm, Monday 19 August 2013

Applicants will be notified of the decision within 16 weeks of the deadline.

2. Small Capital

Who can apply

The Small Capital fund is open to Organisations.

Funding Available

In 2013/14 the total Small Capital budget available is £1.5m National Lottery funding. This is a one stage process. Individual awards will be in the range of £10,001 - £100,000.

Applicants will be notified of decisions within 12 weeks of the deadline.
